ContrastHR FAQ
Administrators / Executives / Company Settings / Explore Your Batch Tools / Time Off Adjustments
Batch Tools are now also accessible from the Left Menu within the People section.

As you transition into a year calendar year, use this feature that allows adjustments for unused vacation time from the previous year. This example is for January 1st, 2025 (with carry over coming from 2024).
  • Navigate to Settings:
    • Go to Batch Tools TIME OFF and click the Time Off Adjustments button.
  • View Balances:
    • You’ll see the balance of unused vacation days for 2024 and the maximum allowed carryover into 2025.
    • If an employee has more unused vacation than your company’s carryover limit, the excess has been automatically recorded for adjustment.
  • Adjust for Payouts:
    • For cases where employees are paid out instead of carrying over days, you can manually update the "Suggested Adjustment" column.
    • Example scenarios:
      • If your company allows a maximum of 5 carryover days and an employee has 6 unused days:
        • To carry over 5 days and pay out 1, leave the suggested adjustment at 1.
        • To pay out all 6 days, update the adjustment to 6 (carrying over 0 days).
  • Finalize Changes:
    • Once you’ve reviewed and updated adjustments, click Save Employee Time Off Adjustment at the bottom of the page.
  • Review Reports:
    • In Reports > Time Off-Alternate, column C4 will display the adjustment amounts for your records, including any payouts for employees carrying over their maximum days.
